My first visit to Universal Studios was in 1999.
It was a great year as Islands of Adventure had just opened a few months before.
we drove from Missouri to Orlando about 850 miles one way.
I became instantly hooked, I couldn't get enough.
Well since then I have returned to Or..lando Florida 14 (trips from Missouri by car) been to all the parks but keep coming back to Universal/IOA I've missed the Mouse park and I've missed the Whale Park BUT I will NEVER miss Universal /IOA on a Orlando Trip.
They always have something new and exciting going on .We just came back from HHN 2015. Very Awesome trip and The Houses was top Quality. Now I cant wait to go back to Experience
the new King Kong Attraction.. We are not Wealthy by any means ,We just save and search the best deals. My advice keep looking for lower prices and compare, your vacation to Orlando
Can be Awesome and affordable
Universal Orlando & Islands of Adventure
These two sister parks constitute the best theme park resort I’ve been to. They offer movie-related rides geared for the whole family, from “slow-and-steady” kiddie rides to “scream at the top of your lungs” roller coasters. The diff..erent continents offer thrills that relate to people of all ages, from Harry Potter (two huge continents spanning both parks) to Dr. Seuss and the Incredible Hulk. The parks are ever-expanding, with a new King Kong ride scheduled to open next year. I recommend spending at least two days at the park to fully experience its awesomeness.
I had such an amazing time at universal studios!!! The best part by far was the whole new Harry Potter set of Diagon Alley. Walking around there was incredible and the Gringott's ride was beyond amazing!!! Another of my favorites was the Mummy ride.
I was able to do everything I wanted to do ..before 4:00 so I was still able to do other things with my day!
Universal Studios is a wonderful park, and is definitely the better option if you would rather a low-key experience. The Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem ride is a little rocky, but is adorable and a go-to for kids who are tall enough. The Men In Black ride is also a favorite, especially for the competi..tive types, as there is a shooting game incorporated right into the ride! However, the highlight of the park is the 5 shows (6 if you include the magic show). Though all of them are definitely worth finding the time to go to, my favorite is definitely the Horror Movie Makeup Show. Even the waiting area is awesome, and I won't lie and say the lovely, air-conditioned theater is not a plus. For those visiting with teens or thrill-seekers, rides such as the Rip Ride Rockit and The Mummy's Revenge are still a great option, however the park is generally ideal for people who would rather a chill day of exploration. As with Islands of Adventure, the only complaint I have about Universal Studios is that there are very few places to take a rest. You are not permitted to sit in any stores or ride lines, and you are discouraged from sitting in any of the restaurants unless you're buying food. If you have an American Express card, there is a lounge where you can take a breather and enjoy free water/snacks, but for the rest of us you may want to plan a mid-day break at either your hotel or on Citywalk, where the restful spots are a little more abundant. Though the food in Universal Studios is a little better than Islands, I also highly suggest going to Citywalk for your meals. There are plenty of different options, and it's a little less expensive than the food in the parks. Overall, I love visiting Universal Studios, espeically on hot days where riding rollercoasters doesn't sound as exciting. It's a lot of fun, the employees are friendly, and the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley area is beyond amazing if you're a fan of the franchise. If you are planning on visiting Orlando, I highly recommend making this one of your stops.
I have recently vacationed at Universal Studios Florida; the park is absolutely amazing, but my favorite part is how they have updated the park by adding the Hogwarts express train and Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. The train is awesome because it makes you feel like you are a Hogwarts'.. student, the scenes that take place outside you compartment's door are amazingly well done and the scene changes depending on which way you are riding the train.
Universal Studios, Orlando is one of my personal favourite theme parks that Universal Studio has. Its Wizarding World of Harry Potter really differentiates it from the ones in other countries. It’s a huge park, split into the Island of Adventures and Universal Studios Flordia, and although relativ..ely pricey, it does provide visitors with a very interesting and worthwhile adventure. Be prepared to bring extra money, especially if you’re planning to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter because the stores all have a large selection of souvenirs that you just can’t help but buy! I would recommend buying a 2 day pass because of the discounts that you get with it, but only if you’re interested in going through the whole park. The park is relatively big so 1 day is definitely not enough to visit everything you want to see or go on. I would also recommending bringing as little as you can, because carrying a bag can be a hassle with some of the rides.
This is my third visit to Universal Studios and first visit after the major renovation and wow- what a difference! Diagon Alley with its key attraction: Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts' simply put one is one of the most beautifully themed areas ever created. Transformers and the Despicabl..e Me rides are very creative and amazing!!
There is a new night time show and parade - while they are very nice, they are not yet in the level of what the competitor is showing. There are still attractions like Twister...Ride it Out that needs to be refreshed. All in all- this is one amazing renovation and with Diagon Alley - it's a hugely recommended experience.
* I visited the Universal Studious Florida in 2012, before the big renovation:
The park is standard and not very exciting. It's more about films locations with just a few rides and attractions. This is 180 degree the opposite of 'Islands of Adventure', which is right across this park...r />
Today I heard that many attractions in this park were replaced by new ones, so I guess it's worth visiting.
When we were there it was very apparent that the theme park needed serious renovation. Everything was outdated. Well.. that's exactly what happened as Universal since then opened amazing new attractions like Transformers, a whole new land for Simpsons fans and is about to open its unique Diagon Alle..y - the second Harry Potter park which looks simply amazing. I can't wait to visit again!!
