“Great for kids”
Reviewed 09/27/16 13:07

As an adult, I was really surprised to find that Magic Kingdom wasn't my thing. I figured that the nostalgia of old Disney movies - The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, etc. - would make this place AMAZING and was a bit disappointed. However, I truly think it because I didn't have a child to experience it.. with.

Also, Tomorrow Land needs to be redone. It seems more like 1950s tomorrow land rather than what the world of tomorrow would actually be.

“The Most Magical Place On Earth”
Reviewed 08/24/15 14:15

This is by far the most magical place on earth.
The best theme park in the whole world.
There isn't a single person that doesn't admire or feel enchanted with the magic all around the place.
It's like a fairytale for every age becoming true.

From the layout to the dec..orations, from the attractions to the shows, from the castmembers to the amazing landscape. There isn't a single flaw in when we talk about Magic Kingdom.

“The world's best theme park”
Reviewed 08/20/15 21:13

The Magic Kingdom, part of Walt Disney World resorts, is the most popular theme park in the world and it's easy to see why. It has reached such a status in popular American culture, that you would be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't been there, or at least dreamed of going.

Magi..c Kingdom is the heart of the four parks that make up Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Because of it's popularity having a touring plan is essential. Take advantage of the FastPass+ system to reserve the park's most popular attractions. These can (and should) be reserved 30 days ahead of time, or 60 days ahead of time if you are staying at a Disney property. High priority FastPass+ reservations for most families includes Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and meeting the popular Frozen characters Anna and Elsa. Choose to book these later in the morning or the afternoon when lines are longest.

For those attractions you are unable to reserve, be sure to arrive a the park early, when the crowds are fewer and the infamous Florida sun isn't as hot. Disney aficionados emphasize to get to Magic Kingdom a half hour before scheduled opening aka "rope drop". Getting there also can take significant time - as much as a half hour - so plan accordingly. You will be rewarded upon arrival with the opening ceremonies which includes a song and dance number and free cracker jacks. One lucky family is chosen each day to open the park. How they choose is a mystery but having small children and being dressed in Disney gear seems to help.

Once inside head to high priority rides first - perhaps Splash Mountain, Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Other priorities are Peter Pan's Flight and Enchanted Story Time with Belle as both can get very long lines. Know that when you use all three FastPass+ reservations you may reserve additional ones which may help you skip the queue.

Many like to head left and work their way around the park clockwise. (If given the choice in lines always go left - the lines will be shorter.) Classic Disney attractions are The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, the Tiki Room and It's a Small World. Taken into context all of these are very enjoyable, but Pirates is definitely the most popular, along with the Haunted Mansion.

If you have little ones be sure to incorporate character meet and greet times, as well as parades to maximize character exposure without lines. Festival of Fantasy parade which is held each day in late afternoon should not be missed for anyone. Other not to be missed presentations include the Spectromagic parade at night and the Wishes fireworks celebration. Alternatively, if these don't interest you take advantage as ride lines will be shorter during this time.

As far as food goes, Disney has some of the best food in the industry and much of it has a cult following. Snacks not to miss are Mickey Head ice cream available throughout the park, Dole Whip can be found at Aloha Isle in Adventureland, and Citrus Swirl can be found Sunshine Tree Terrace also in Adventureland. Others rave about popcorn and the Mickey shaped pretzels (anything Mickey shaped HAS to taste better right?).

Good meal choices are the newer Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland that takes reservations for dinner, and FastPass+ reservations for lunch. There is an excellent waffle stand in Liberty Square that offers sweet and savory options at a reasonable price. Character meals are also available in the park and the Crystal Palace is particularly popular for breakfast as they permit people in the park earlier for their reservation.

As you can tell there is a LOT to do in Magic Kingdom, so trying to do it all, especially in one day, is nearly impossible. Plan on two days if you can spare it. Make sure to leave some flexibility in your schedule as to not rush, and even consider leaving during the middle of the day when the weather is hot and the crowds are biggest, and coming back after dinner.

Finally, when booking your stay consider the resort's hotels as free and quick transportation is provided. In addition, you can gain extended access to the parks, called Extra Magic Hours, on certain days. Have a magical trip!

It has been 20 years since my parents took me to Magic Kingdom. One thing I can tell you for sure is that if you want to give your kids an experience they will never forget, this is the place. From meeting all of my favorite Disney characters in person, to all of the classic rides and even my first ..rollercoaster experience on Big Thnder Mountain Railroad! Lastly I will never forget the magic of the fireworks show they put on every night. This park is the ultimate family park. I can't wait to take my kids there and give them the same unforgettable experience.

I took my family to the Magic Kingdom as part of our visit to Disney World and we had the most amazing time. The staff are the friendliest people in the world and you could literally feel the difference in atmosphere between here and any other theme park. The rides are great, especially the classic ..ones. There were long lines but worth waiting on and it was fun hanging with the family while waiting. Great family place. The parade is awesome and so are the fireworks. You have to go here for your next family vacation!

When I was young, I used to go to Disneyland in Anaheim and loved it. A few years ago I went to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando and I still loved it just as much. It's a great experience and so much fun for the whole family. The rides and attractions are amazing!

“Magical experience at the Magic Kingdom”
Reviewed 09/05/14 23:50

Visiting the Magic Kingdom is an amazing experience. You'll have to spend two days to really appreciate what this wonderful theme park has to offer. The highlights here are the new Fantasyland which is magnificent with the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Prince's Erik castle and Be Our Guest restaurant. T..he attention to detail at the new land is truly impressive.

Also unique to this park is the Storybook Circus which includes the popular Dumbo the Flying Elephant (there are two of those actually) and a surprisngly fun shopping experience.

Liberty Square is a unique land at the Magic Kingdom which, for me, is a sort of a mixed bag. On one hand The Hall of Presidents is an impressive attraction, but the land as a whole feels a bit out of place in the otherworldly tone of the theme park.

Using FastPass+ you'll be able to reserve attractions, dining experiences and more in advance. It's a huge advantage and saves a lot of time when you're actually there.

The Magic Kingdom is truly magical!
