I visited Disney's Hollywood Studios when I was a child and couldn't remember much beyond the Honey I Shrunk the Kids area and Indiana Jones. After visiting last year, I realized why - that's all they have that actually interests me. I was surprised to find that Hollywood Studios was almost identica..l to what it was 20 years ago. I look forward to the new renovations and additions.
Not the Best of the Disney Parks but still lots of greats things can be found here,
Fantasmic is a spectacular no to be missed show, The Great Movie Ride is a family favorite, for the trill seekers Tower of Terror is a very unique attraction, also the newest Toy Story Midway Mania! is a really.. fun ride.
Doing Disney's Fast Pass system is a must because waits can be over 2 hrs otherwise. Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Aerosmith roller coaster are amazing. The shows not amazing like in Disneyland, but great to watch while eating. I would say the best time is during Star Wars weekends, a bit more to.. see and people are busy with photo ops so the lines seemed shorter.
The last time I went to Disney Hollywood studios I was just a kid so it was a novel experience to be able to look at the park with the eyes of an adult and still appreciate the magic of it. I found the Academy of Television Arts much more interesting as an adult than I did as a child it was pretty ..could taking a pic next to Walt Disney. I loved watching how the Disney characters I loved as a child were animated and brought to life in the Magic of Disney Animation. Overall I believe that I enjoyed the Hollywood studios more as an adult than I did as a child.
I had a lot of fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios. They had a huge event for Frozen which was very successful and unique experiences such as: The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow, MuppetVision 3D, The Great Movie Ride and The Studio Backlot Tour.
The Studio Backlot Tour which is supposed.. to be a key attraction at the park was very disappointing. I think they should really update it or at least change the effects stage show which wasn't very exciting. With movies such as Bolt where behind the scenes magic is shown - I could really see how they can create something that's nice and engaging.
All in all it's certainly a worthwhile experience: you can learn about the legend that is Walt Disney (very inspiring!) and how animation is made. There are shows such as Beaty and the Beast and Fantasmic! that are extremely popular as well.
